Women’s Network PEI needed a name and logo that reflected a new stream of youth programming that they were launching. The concept was to take a positive approach that builds communication and understanding between youth and parents/guardians, and to present the programming in a manner that was less gender focused than WNPEI’s other work.
As a result, we presented Click! The name is easy to remember, lends itself well to visual representation via a logo and other branding, and most significantly, it refers to both information clicking (“I get it!”) and people clicking (“You and I click; we understand each other!”).
After some colour experimentation, the logo was presented in warm and friendly colours – a deep orange set against a mellow shade of yellow. The complimentary grey used in the “L” and the “I” work with the curved line at the bottom of the logo to imply a smiling face. The tag line “Getting solutions by getting each other” reinforces the name and the philosophy behind the programming. To retain the connection with its presenting body, a leaf element of WNPEI’s tree logo was included accompanied by text that reads: “An initiative of Women’s Network PEI”.
